It’s just a few weeks to go to go to the Letterkenny St Patrick’s Day Parade on Tuesday, March 17 and excitement is building.
The parade is one of the biggest in the county and this year Letterkenny Chamber is hoping to make this one another full on celebration with a festival atmosphere on the day.
They are calling on sporting groups, dance studios, gymnastic clubs and community groups to get involved. The parade as always is an opportunity to celebrate in style on this important national holiday.
Chamber President Jimmy Stafford said “Our committee has been working hard already in an effort to make the parade successful. We are already getting pledges of financial support from businesses to help with the costs of the parade. Without their contributions the parade would not be possible.”
“St Patrick’s Day is an important event in the calendar marking the start of the Spring season. We are looking forward to good weather and a day of fun and celebration. The Letterkenny Parade is traditional, fun, inclusive and colourful, a real family celebration and there’s still time to get your entry organised.”
Toni Forrester, CEO, Letterkenny Chamber encourages everyone to think about getting involved, “Our appeal goes out to community groups, sporting organisations, schools, dance groups and everyone else to apply to be part of the parade. Just give us a call at Letterkenny Chamber on 0749124866 and we’ll send out a form.
As always the parade starts at 3pm with live entertainment from 1pm.
