Evelyn’s Easter chick plan hatches €2,160 for Donegal Hospice

WHAT began as a simple late-night idea by an east Donegal woman has developed into an Egg-cellent success!

One night, Evelyn Oliver woke up with a plan – to knit Easter chicks stuffed with Cadbury’s Cream Eggs and sell them to raise funds for Donegal Hospice.

The idea quickly took flight, with friends and family jumping on board to help, either by knitting the adorable chicks or donating money and cream eggs.

Thanks to the generosity and hard work of everyone involved, all expectations were exceeded and the Convoy women raised an impressive €2,160 for Donegal Hospice.

Special thanks go to Bonner’s Londis Shop in Convoy, whose generous donation of eggs and exceptional sales made a huge difference. Equal appreciation goes to Murray’s Pharmacy Convoy and Lavish Layne Stranorlar, who also supported the project with great local sales.

Also, a big thank you to sponsors Coyle’s Centra Raphoe, Kelly’s Centra Mountain Top, Letterkenny, and Tesco Letterkenny for their essential donations of Cadbury’s Cream Eggs.
