EUROPE DIRECT Letterkenny, based in Central Library, will showcase their range of children’s books available in the Ukrainian language on Thursday, March 23 at 6.30pm.
The event will be free and refreshments will be provided.
These new books have been catalogued in the Cyrillic alphabet so it will make the books much easier to request on the Donegal Libraries website.
Donegal Libraries have been very active in providing high quality services to all of our users.
In addition to existing and new book stock in the Ukrainian language, they have also sourced DVDs.
In association with Donegal County Childcare Committee they host weekly Stay and Play story time sessions in seven libraries around Donegal (Central, Buncrana, Carndonagh, Bundoran, Twin Towns, Milford and Leabharlann Phobail na Rosann).
Basic English classes are also offered in conjunction with Fáilte Isteach on Wednesday mornings at 10.30 am in Central Library, Letterkenny.
Libraries are welcoming, all inclusive spaces where membership and access is free.
