EuroGiant is ‘no longer trading’ in Courtyard Shopping Centre

EUROGIANT in Letterkenny has closed its doors at the Courtyard Shopping Centre.

The popular store had been trading for more than 20 years.
Shoppers to the Courtyard in recent days will have noticed the doors of the store closed, with staff inside taking stock off shelves and packing things away. A notice on the door states: ‘No longer trading’.

A spokesperson for Letterkenny Courtyard told the Donegal News the retail chain has gone into liquidation.
“The EuroGiant chain went into liquidation nationwide. By order of the High Court, Mark Degnan and Brendan O Reilly were appointed Joint Provisional Liquidators of Euro General Retail Ltd and Bushgrove Ltd (T/A Eurogiant) on February 4, 2026.”
The spokesperson added that there is a staged closing process for all stores across the country. It’s understood 77 stores will close.
