Eugene Duffy is the new Chairman of St Eunan’s GAA club.
Duffy was elected at Tuesday evening’s AGM at O’Donnell Park and takes over from John Haran.
A native of Daly Terrace in Ballymacool, Eugene is a former player, club coach and active volunteer, and has a lifelong association with the club.
Eugene spent his boyhood days along with his late father Anjo out at O’Donnell Park, watching matches and helping out with the general upkeep of the grounds.
The Duffy family continues to have a strong affiliation with the club and Eugene himself was a talented defender in his playing days.
He was part of the club’s minor team that won the County title in 1993 – a side that went on to reach the Ulster Club Minor final only to lose to Derry champions Loup.
Dermot Higgins was elected as the club’s new Treasurer and takes over from Damian Daly.
