ETHAN O’Donnell says it was ‘very unsatisfying’ that the 2020 County Final wasn’t played last year but he and his team are ready to go for the rescheduled decider this Saturday.
The Donegal final was supposed to take place last September but then a positive Covid-19 case caused it to be delayed.
Just as the teams were gearing up for action, the decider was one of 11 county finals which were pulled by the GAA.
That decision came as case numbers continued to rise, while celebrations from other county finals caused consternation as social distancing and other precautions were not followed.
That meant the Naomh Conaill and Kilcar players were left in limbo but they will finally get the chance to square off this weekend.
