Homes and businesses right across Donegal remain without power this morning in the wake of Storm Amy.
Nationally ESB Networks say that 87,000 customers are without power, down from 120,000 at one stage yesterday.
Here in Donegal, ESB crews are working to repair faults and many customers saw power restored last night or overnight.
However, there are a large number of customers still without supply. ESB networks personnel, backed up by partner contractors, are being deployed to assess the damage and restore supply.
The company said it will update estimated restoration times on its powercheck.ie website.
The public are also reminded that a Status Yellow warning for wind and rain is currently active in the north west for Donegal, Sligo and Leitrim, with localised flooding possible in these areas and the public are advised to stay away from coastal areas during this period of adverse weather. This warning will lapse at midday today.
