LETTERKENNY man Patrick Hegarty has mustered the courage to propose to his girlfriend, Evangeline Vieira-Miller, at the summit of Errigal Mountain, and thankfully she accepted.
Patrick, who moved to Australia in 2004 at the age of nine, has been traveling across Europe for the past year with his new Australian fiancée, Evangeline.
The pinnacle of their journey occurred in Donegal on Monday.
“I bought a ring a few weeks ago in Madeira, Portugal, where her mother was born, and brought it with me here,” explained Patrick.
“On Monday, with my cousin Arran and friend Selena, we climbed to the top of Errigal, and I popped the question.”
