English on many roads signs defaced

ROAD signs on a stretch of the Letterkenny to Derry road have been defaced with red spray paint.
Separate directional signs alerting motorists to places including Newtowncunningham Killea, Lifford, St Johnston and Carrigans have all been vandalised with red spray paint.
The signs are written in both the English and Irish language. However, only the English wording has been daubed in spray paint.
The vandalism appears to have occurred in the last few days.
The Donegal News asked Donegal County Council if it was aware of the incident. A response had not been received at the time of going to press.
