Mark English was named the 2022 Overall Donegal Sports Star Award winner at the Mount Errigal Hotel in Letterkenny tonight.
English had a remarkable year and won a bronze medal in the 800 metres at the European Championships in Munich.
It is the third time the Letterkenny man has won the Overall award.
The Finn Valley AC athlete came out on top of a shortlist of six which included Amber Barrett, Catriona Jennings, Dylan Browne McMonagle, Emma Doherty and Niamh McLaughlin.
Shay Given proved to be an excellent special guest at the Donegal Sports Star Awards which made a welcome return to a live function this year.
