Emmanuel Familola to be laid to rest in Buncrana on Saturday

Emmanuel Familola, one of the teenagers who passed away following a drowning tragedy off the coast of Buncrana at the weekend, will be laid to rest on Saturday.

Mr Familola, of Sailor’s Rest, Shore Front, Buncrana, was rescued from the sea and rushed to Letterkenny University Hospital after he got into difficulty while trying to retrieve a football from the water last Saturday.

He passed away a short time later.

Emmanuel’s remains will be reposing in St. Mary’s Oratory, Buncrana tomorrow evening, Friday, May 16 from 5pm to 10pm.

Requiem Mass will be celebrated on Saturday morning, May 17 at 10am followed by interment in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Cockhill.

Mr Familola is deeply regretted and will be forever missed by his loving mother Glory, his brothers Daniel and John, his extended family and friends.
