Emergency road works will be undertaken on the Windy Hall Road in Letterkenny on Monday.
The road will be blocked in various locations from 8am to 4:30pm during emergency pot hole repairs.
A spokesperson for Donegal County Council said: “When patches are complete sections will be reopened. Expect long delays and avoid this area if you can.

“Works are expected to be carried out in two sections Kilmacrennan Road to Long Lane and An Lagan to Long Lane. Diversion routes shall be via Long Lane and Glencar Roads.
“We are sorry for any inconvenience caused but the road is in a poor condition and needs emergency repairs.”
