DIVERSIONS are in place following a fatal road traffic collision near Barnesmore Gap earlier today which cost the life of one male.
Emergency services attended the scene of the collision at Lough Mourne, between Donegal town and Ballybofey, which is understood to have involved a lorry and a motorcycle at 11.45am this morning.
The Garda Press Office confirmed that one male has lost his life as a result of the accident. The road has been closed as a result and is expected to remain closed until later this evening (Wednesday).
Garda forensic collision investigators have also been called to to examine the scene. Diversions are in place and delays are expected.
