ELECTION 2024: Battle lines drawn in Lifford-Stranorlar

It’s quiet at the Finn Valley Leisure Centre in Stranorlar so far this morning but that will all change very soon.

Twelve candidates are contesting the six seats up for grabs in the Lifford-Stranorlar Local Electoral Area (LEA).

They are Charles Ward, 100% Redress Party, Dakota McMenamin, Sinn Féin, Garvan Connolly, Fine Gael, Martin Scanlon, Independent, Niall McConnell, Independent, Rebecca McDaid, Aontú, Tony McDaid, Sinn Féin, and five sitting councillors Gary Doherty, Sinn Féin, Gerry Crawford, Fianna Fáil, Frank McBrearty Jnr, Independent, Martin Harley, Fine Gael and Patrick McGowan, Fianna Fail.

An exciting battle is anticipated for the six Lifford-Stranorlar LEA seats.
