A UNIQUE event will take place this Easter Saturday, April 19, in Bundoran as children and families will be given the opportunity to take part in an Easter Egg painting workshop, an Easter Treasure Hunt and Easter Egg roll.
The day will start at 1pm at the Atlantic Apartotel where families can register and take part in the Easter Egg painting workshop – creativity will be the key as prizes will be made available for the best egg design.
From 2pm it will be time for the Easter Treasure Hunt. Clues will be provided to locations all around Bundoran and teams must collect the treasure from each spot and return with it to the finish line – there’ll also be the opportunity to earn some bonus points along the way – just make sure you’ve got your smartphone with you!
The day will end off with the Easter Egg roll which will take place on the green area where the younger kids in the family will be able to take part in a fun series of races while for the older kids, there’ll be the traditional egg and spoon races.
Bundoran Tourism Officer Shane Smyth said “We’re thrilled with the reaction so far to our Easter Egg painting workshop, treasure hunt and egg roll. It’s going to be a fun family event here in Bundoran as we get through the Easter Holiday weekend.
“I’d like to say a big thank you to Cosgrove’s Supervalu for sponsoring our chocolate egg prizes and to Patton’s Eggs for sponsoring the real eggs which are going to be painted. You can find full details of the day on our website www.discoverbundoran.com/easteregg.
“Easter weekend sees a traditional reopening of many businesses in Bundoran following the winter season, including Waterworld on Good Friday, with fantastic entertainment being provided in bars and venues right across town. And with good weather promised through the weekend, we look forward to a bumper season ahead.”
