Finn Harps 1 Longford Town 0
Success Edogun’s penalty kick was the only goal of the game as Finn Harps defeated Longford Town in Finn Park for their third win in-a-row.
It was stalemate at the half-time despite a dominant first half from the hosts, although Longford had the best chance of the opening 45 as Daniel Norris missed a 1-on-1 just before the break.
But as Max Hutchison was fouled inside the box within a minute of the restart by Viktor Serdeniuk, Edogun stepped up to take the penalty and fired down the middle for his tenth goal of the season.
The Harps continued to have the majority of the chances and were fully deserving of the win to move them within a point of the play-offs despite having a game more played than the four teams directly above them.
