Eddie Friel to be laid to rest on Sunday

The funeral of a man who was found dead at his home in Killybegs will be held on Easter Sunday,

Eddie Friel, who was aged in his 60s and lived at Harbour View Drive was found dead at his home on Sunday, April 13.

A man was arrested and has since appeared in court in connection to Mr Friel’s death following a garda investigation.

Mr Friel’s remains are reposing at McBrearty’s Funeral Home, Killybegs today and tomorrow from 4pm to 8pm.

Removal on Easter Sunday at 1.30pm to St Mary of the Visitation Church Killybegs for 2pm Funeral Mass.

Burial afterwards in the local cemetery.

A death notice for Mr Friel reads, “Predeceased by his Father Eddie, Mother Mary Teresa, brother Hughie and sister Philomena.

“Sadly missed by his brother Leo (Marie), sisters Frances, Ann Marie, Christina, Angela, Pauline (Reggie) and Rosanne(John Paddy), nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.”
