Eclectic mix emerging ahead of Donegal election battle

WITH the 2016 General Election still eights week away, an eclectic list of potential candidates is emerging in Donegal.
These include a a former Youth Defence volunteer, an embattled Councillor whose colleagues on Donegal County Council recently passed a motion calling for his resignation and the son of a long-term former Fine Gael TD.
Elsewhere, a well known former Labour Party Councillor is considering his options while Fianna Fáil have yet to adjudicate on Cllr James Pat McDaid’s application to join Deputy Charlie McConalogue and Pat The Cope Gallagher on the Fianna Fáil ticket.
