Household waste recycling centres throughout Donegal have contributed €2,880 to support the local hospice and Multiple Sclerosis Ireland.
Donegal Hospice offers a range of palliative care services for individuals with life-limiting illnesses, while Multiple Sclerosis Ireland provides crucial services to thousands of individuals living with MS and their families.
The much-needed funds were raised by Bryson Recycling through their annual metal recycling initiative. Operating six recycling centres across Donegal on behalf of the council, Bryson’s staff carefully sort and preserve valuable metals like copper and lead, collected at these sites year-round.
This year’s proceeds from the sale of these materials totalled €2,880, with a generous donation of €1,440 extended to the two charities.
“We are committed to improving the environment and the local communities in which we live and work. We are delighted to donate this money to two such worthwhile charities who provide essential services locally.
“I would like to thank all our staff who have worked hard throughout the year to separate these materials and make this donation possible,” said Connie Gallagher, Bryson Recycling General Manager.
Recycling centres are located in Letterkenny, Stranorlar, Milford, Carndonagh, Laghey, and Dungloe. They accept a wide range of items for recycling, and more information can be found on their website: www.brysonrecycling.org
