INVESTIGATIONS are ongoing after gardaí seized €24,000 worth of suspected cannabis and €7,000 cash in Letterkenny earlier this month.
As part of Operation Tara, uniformed gardaí searched a residence in the Letterkenny area on September 6, 2024.
One man was arrested but has since been released without charge.
The drugs seized will now be sent to Forensic Science Ireland to undergo analysis.
A garda spokesperson said: “Gardaí are appealing for anyone who has information in relation to the sale and supply of controlled substances in Co. Donegal or the border region, to contact the Donegal Divisional Drugs Unit on 074 916 7100, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any Garda Station.
“Operation Tara, an enhanced national anti-drugs strategy commenced on the 1st of July 2021.
“The focus of Operation Tara is to disrupt, dismantle and prosecute drug trafficking networks, at all levels, international, national, and local, involved in the importation, distribution, cultivation, production and local sale and supply of controlled drugs.”
