€2.6m deal for endoscopy unit at Letterkenny University Hospital

The HSE has agreed to enter into a €2.68 million deal with an English company to extend the rental period of a purpose built Mobile Endoscopy Unit at Letterkenny University Hospital, the Donegal News can reveal.

An endoscopy is a procedure used in medicine to look inside the body and is used by healthcare providers, like the HSE, to screen, diagnose and treat conditions.

According to documentation associated with the contract, the demand for endoscopy services at Letterkenny University Hospital has not only remained high, but has increased significantly over the last three years.
