DUNLOP, Kevin Dermot – Dunfanaghy passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 22nd, 2022, at the age of 71, in the Donegal Hospice, Knocknamona, Co. Donegal. Dear son of Hughie Dunlop and Brigid (Ramsay); brother to Cyril and pre-deceased by his dear brothers Leonard and Hubert Dunlop.
He will be deeply missed from afar by his sister-in-law Pauline; his nephews; nieces, grand-nieces, his first cousins, Nora, Margaret, Bernadette and Seán Duffy, extended family and friends.
Kevin took great pride in his Donegal roots from both Dunfanaghy and Gweedore. He had a passion for sports, specifically Gaelic football as both a fan and talented player in his youth. His love of art never wavered regardless of where his work took him, near or far, from Europe, North America or heat of the desert in the Middle East.
His family would like to thank those in Dunfanaghy for all their care and help throughout this time. You have again that spirit and good nature that has always defined Dunfanaghy’s people. Those at Letterkenny University Hospital and the Donegal Hospice, thank you ever so much for your care and kindness.
His remains arrived at Holy Cross Church Dunfanaghy on Wednesday, 23rd November at 8.30 pm to repose overnight. Funeral Mass there on Thursday, 24th November at 11 am, with burial afterwards in the adjoining graveyard. Mass can be viewed on https://www.mcnmedia.tv/camera/holy-cross-church
