Glenswilly 1-19 St Eunan’s 1-15
Kealan Dunleavy was the star of the show as Glenswilly picked up two valuable Division 1 league points against St Eunan’s this evening at Pairc Naomh Columba.
Padraig McGettigan (St Eunan’s) and Shaun Wogan (Glenswilly) swapped goals in the first half as the home side led by 1-8 to 1-7 at the break.
Mark Bonner made a real impression for Glenswilly after the break and they were 1-14 to 1-10 in front with 49 minutes played.
St Eunan’s got the next three scores, including a brilliant two-pointer from Oran Winston, and they were incensed when Eoin McGeehin was blown for over-carrying in the 61st minute as he tried to work a shot.
The ball was brought forward by referee Enda McFeely for dissent and Dunleavy kicked a sublime two-pointer.
The same player added another wonderful effort from outside the arc, and Glenswilly were delighted to claim the derby spoils.
