Dungloe 2-8 Ardara 2-7
Dungloe left it late but Mia O’Donnell’s 62nd minute score was enough to put them ahead for the first time in the game and claim the Division 1 minor title over Ardara in MacCumhaill Park.
Ardara were well on top and Mia Bennett and Jessica Gallagher scored early goals to give them an eight point lead after fifteen minutes.
But Dungloe captain Tara Geoghegan led the charge for her side and despite being 2-6 to 1-3 down at the break and missing a penalty after the restart, she hit a late goal to level it at 2-7 apiece, scoring all but one point for her side that was put over by Claire Diver.
Caoimhe Gallagher’s 34th minute point was all Ardara could muster up in the second half and when O’Donnell’s late point went over, it sealed another title for the Dungloe ladies.
