Dungloe face huge Galbally test

By Gerry McLaughlin

Any team that rattles in seven goals in a competitive match will present a serious challenge to any opposition.

So, Dessie Gallagher’s Dungloe face a truly formidable test as they lock horns with the free-scoring Galbally Pearses from the rolling hills of East Tyrone in Celtic Park, Derry, on Sunday.

For, the reigning Red Hand Intermediate champions beat Derry holders Glenullin by a whopping 7-12 to 1-11 in the previous round.

Dungloe got over a sluggish start to overcome dual club Dunloy by 1-11 to 0-7 and were impressive.

But team boss Gallagher is well aware that a similar sluggish start could be potentially fatal against the rampant Galbally.

“I was at their match with Glenullin and people were talking about Glenullin being fancied but Galbally simply blew them away and were most impressive.”
