Dungloe 0-9 St Michael’s 0-8
Dungloe edged out St Michael’s in MacCumhaill Park this afternoon to reach their first Donegal SFC Final in sixty years.
St Michael’s welcomed Michael Langan home from his travels for the match and they led by 0-3 to 0-2 after 12 minutes.
However, Dungloe battled well against the breeze and scores late in the half from Daire Gallagher and Ryan Connors had them in front by one at the break.
HT: Dungloe 0-5 St Michael’s 0-4
The Rosses side made a great start to the second half and Connors, Barry Curran, and Dylan Sweeney all hit points.
St Michael’s responded with three successive points and they were just one behind heading into the last five minutes.
Darren Curran then kicked a huge point for Dungloe but St Michael’s kept going and Daniel McLaughlin struck the post two minutes into injury-time.
McLaughlin did tag on a free but they couldn’t find a leveller and the Rosses side held on for a famous victory.
