Dungloe defeat 14-man Downings in Falcarragh

Downings 0-8 Dungloe 1-7

Dungloe are through to the last eight of the Donegal SFC after they got the better of Dungloe in tough weather conditions in Falcarragh today.

Dungloe were 1-2 to 0-3 ahead after 15 minutes with Oisin Bonner scoring the goal.

Ronan Gallagher was shown a straight red for Downings but some great scores from Johnny McGroddy had them in the lead at the break.

HT: Downings 0-6 Dungloe 1-2

Scores were hard to come by in the second half but Oisin Bonner levelled matters before Dungloe finished strongly.

Barry Curran, Matthew Ward, and Conor Greene kicked the points the Rosses side needed.

Keelan McGroddy drilled a goal chance over the bar for Downings but their season is now at an end as Dungloe march on to the quarter-finals.
