Dunfanaghy serving up its biggest food festival yet Posted: 5:00 pm September 22, 2017 SHARE EmailLinkedinTwitterFacebookPinterest THE popular seaside village of Dunfanaghy in North West Donegal will host its second annual food festival on Saturday 30th September and Sunday 1st October 2017. The festival will begin with an outdoor food market on the Village Green (opposite Arnolds Hotel) on Saturday 30th September from 12pm-4pm. Local businesses will join Donegal artisan producers to showcase the value in shopping local, using local and eating local. Familiar faces taking part include Sliabh Liag Distillery, Gallagher’s Premium Oysters, Donegal Rapeseed and Dunfanaghy Country Market. As well as delicious sampling, visitors can enjoy food demonstrations, whiskey and coffee tasting and entertainment from some of Donegal’s finest musicians. Later that evening Arnolds Hotel will host a Meet The Producers Dinner which begins at 8pm. Pre-dinner, guests will enjoy Craft Beer Sampling with the team from Kinnegar Brewery followed by an exclusive 4 course menu in Arnolds Restaurant featuring four Donegal Producers and their star ingredients. Each producer will be there to introduce their product and share the story behind it. After dinner the Sliabh Liag Distillery will showcase their new An Dúlamán Donegal Gin with a tasting for all and a variety of new Gin Cocktails on offer. Tickets for this event are on sale now at Arnolds Hotel priced at €35. On Sunday October 1st the festival will conclude with a Coffeee Appreciation Workshop at The Shack, Marble Hill with owner and top barista Tom Lee sharing his top tips for all things roasting, brewing and how to find your favourite coffee!
