Duke Special is a Belfast artist with a unique sound, often referred to as vaudeville. His songs are shaped by an omnipresent piano, harps, brass, strings and, his trademark on stage – an old gramophone.

The results are romantic and passionate little hymns with the Duke’s soft vocals. From headlining a packed-to-the-rafters Shepherds Bush Empire in London to stage diving at Electric Picnic, hosting five nights back-to-back at Belfast’s Empire Music Hall, being twice nominated for the Choice Music Prize for Album of the year, Duke Special has come further than he ever imagined he might and his latest CD has inspired rave reviews.
