Dry Arch to host razor sharp fundraiser this weekend

THE Dry Arch Complex in Letterkenny will hold its final fundraiser of 2019 when it stages a sponsored shave tomorrow night (Friday).

So far this year, the Dry Arch Complex has raised €10,000 for local charities and groups.

“Through our last head shave which raised €6,000 we purchased a defibrillator for the local community. The other beneficiaries were the autism unit at Lurgybrack NS, Bonagee under-10 footballers and Charlie Devlin’s youth angling team,” revealed Damien McCormack, Dry Arch Complex manager.

“Through other fundraisers, we have raised €4,000 – €1,200 for Temple Street Children’s Hospital, €1,000 for Pieta House and €1,800 for Down Syndrome Ireland. At the Dry Arch Complex we are very much aware of the importance of giving something back. We are also aware of the vital work these local groups and organisations play in our community. We are delighted to be in a position to help out and do our bit for the community,” Damien added.

Donegal Down Syndrome and Letterkenny Food Bank will be the beneficiaries of Friday night’s head shave. The group taking part in the head shave is made up of staff and customers from the Dry Arch Complex. The group will include Aaron O’Connell, Joe Langan, Barry Patton, Damien McCormack, Mark Patton, Arwyn Callaghan, William McClure, Aidan Crawford, Jack Moore, Mike Buchannon, Vincent McNamee and Ciaran McCormack.
