DRUMKEEN’S TJ McDaid is set to appear on tomorrow night’s Late Late Toy Show.
The local girl, who is a Little Blue Hero, received a special visit this week from her garda buddies, Garda Annemarie McGrath and Garda Brenda Healy, before setting off on her big adventure to the capital.
Brave TJ is best known as the centre of the ‘TJ Wish 2 Walk’ campaign.
Over the years, numerous community fundraisers have been held across the county to support the local girl’s wish to walk.
TJ was born with severe spina bifida meningocele and has been undergoing intensive specialist physiotherapy over the past year in a bid to walk.
Taking to social media to wish the Honorary Garda the best of luck in her big TV debuet tomorrow night, a spokesperson from An Garda Síochána Donegal said: “H/Garda TJ will be a fantastic representative for Donegal and for the Little Blue Heroes and we will all tune in to watch our little colleague shine brightly like the superstar that she is!”
