THE head of Donegal’s Joint Policing Committee (JPC) is calling for the creation of a multi-agency body to try and tackle the growing drugs problem within the county.
JPC Chairperson, Cllr Gerry McMonagle, suggests it’s important that the new group would include direct input from young adults as that is the cohort most impacted by the problem.
He made the comments after it emerged that gardaí last week seized drugs in the Milford District worth an estimated €125,000, if sold on the streets.
It’s the latest of a number of large drugs finds made in Donegal in recent times.
