Drivers urged to slow down after motorist caught speeding this morning 

GARDAÍ in Donegal are urging motorists to slow down after a motorist was caught travelling at 40 kilometres per hour over the speed limit this morning. 

Donegal Town Roads Policing Unit are out conducting early morning speed checks and they have detected a vehicle travelling at 140KPH in a speed zone of 100KPH.

The driver will now have to pay a fine of €160 and will also receive 3 penalty points.

A Garda spokesperson said, “Speed kills and so we continue to urge all drivers to slow down.”
