THE 25-year-old man who died this morning in a road traffic accident has been named as Jonathan Doherty from Stranacorkragh, Derrybeg.
A father of two he had been living in Falcarragh. The single vehicle crash happened shortly before 7am close to The Lagoon in Termon in the townland of Conkillymore.
Mr Doherty was the driver of a silver coloured BMW car and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The accident happened not far from the Lagoon Bar on a notorious stretch of road. The road was closed to allow for forensic investigations.
Traffic in the area was diverted for several hours.
Gardai have appealed to anyone who saw the car in the vicinity of Termon this morning to contact Milford station on 074-91-53060.
