A motorist who was apprehended driving without insurance for the second time was fined €700 and banned from the road for a period of four years.
Giorgi Sharia, with an address at Robinson Hall, Port Road, Letterkenny, appeared at the local District Court on a charge of driving without insurance,
Garda Sergeant, Robin Hennigan, said he had stopped the defendant who was driving a Opel Astra at Port Road on November 29, 2024. The vehicle was subsequently seized.

The court heard that the defendant had previously been fined 200 euro on a similar charge.
On this occasion, Judge Emile Daly imposed a fine of €700 and disqualified him from driving for four years.
