A DRIVER and passenger were taken to hospital following a road traffic collision in Raphoe at the weekend.

Gardaí are investigating the single vehicle road traffic collision that occurred on the N14 at Carrickadawson, Raphoe on Sunday, September 21, shortly after 8.40am.

The vehicle (black Nissan) had been travelling from Lifford towards Letterkenny when the collision occurred. The vehicle ended up in a ditch. The driver and passenger were taken to Letterkenny University Hospital to receive medical treatment for non-life threatening injuries.

A garda spokesperson said: “We appeal to anyone who may have observed the collision to make contact with Gardaí in Letterkenny on (074) 9167100. If anyone travelled along the N14 (Lifford to Letterkenny Road) with a dash-cam between 8.30am and 8.50am, we ask them to make the footage available to us.”
