DOWNINGS captain Ben McNutt wants to prove they are good enough at this level as they look to bounce back from an opening defeat.

The Mevagh men lost 1-13 to 0-14 away to Aodh Ruadh in what was a close contest but they came away with nothing at full-time.

“It was nip-and-tuck,” McNutt said on their first game in the Senior championship for 30 years.
