Whether you’re a die hard Green Day fan or just looking for a brilliant night of entertainment, you’ll want to get yourself to the Balor Theatre from April 9 -13 for the Butt Drama Circle’s production of the rock musical ‘American Idiot’.
Excitement is now mounting as they enter the final weeks of rehearsals before exploding onto the stage.
The show tells a story of youth, freedom and friendship through the songs from Green Day’s 2004 iconic album ‘American Idiot’ featuring songs such as the title track ‘American Idiot’, ‘Boulevard of Broken Dreams’, Holiday’ and ‘Wake me up when September Ends’.
It’s themes of disaffection and disappointment at the empty promise of the American Dream are particularly relevant in the current global climate.
This musical, which is being staged by the dynamic young team of Daniel Browne (Director) Katie Lucas (Producer), Zara Gillespie (Choregrapher) and Adam Hannigan (Musical Director), will feature a cast of 21 very talented performers and musicians – some no strangers to the Balor and others making their stage debut.
It promises to be an energy packed, one-of-a-kind musical and audio visual experience that will blow you away!
If you couldn’t get Oasis tickets, come to the Balor and revisit your youth or show your teenage kids you were once cool too by bringing them along to rock out together.
The demand for tickets for the shows is starting to ramp up so book your tickets now.
It’s a show not to be missed.
