Donegal’s young people protest against climate change

HUNDREDS of young people protested in Letterkenny this morning as part of a global strike against climate change.

Schoolchildren across the county downed tools this morning to join in the rally. Carrying flags and placards, they urged the world’s governments to escalate the actions they are taking to combat the climate crisis.

Rally organiser, Inishowen teenager Conal O’Boyle, described climate change as the “biggest issue facing humankind today”.
