GLASGOWBURY have announced the final acts set to play the 13th annual music festival at Eagle’s Rock Valley this July and it includes three acts from Donegal.
For the first time ever Glasgowbury will expand to a two day festival across the weekend of July 19 – 21, staging a County Derry showcase at Eagle’s Rock on Friday 19th in support of Derry~Londonderry’s City Of Culture celebrations.

Joining headliners The Answer, The Japanese Popstars and And So I Watch You From Afar at the two-day, not-for profit celebration of homegrown musical talent, are Inishowen’s Don;t Fear The Natives (formerly known as Palomino), rising star Rosie Carney and one of Donegal’s most popular original acts, In The Thousands.

Formerly known as Palomino, Donegal band Don’t Fear The Natives are a revitalised act with a new sound, direction and dynamics. Calling to mind the likes of Hot Chip and MGMT, their pulsating electro-rock also takes in hints of new wave and jangling guitar pop. Very likely to get Saturday evening off to a bang.

A fast-rising young singer-songwriter hailing from Downings, Rosie Carney has received praise both her entrancing voice and delicate songwriting style.
Originally from Portsmouth, the16-year-old has been touted as a prodigal talent bound for great things and we are in complete agreement.

With all members contributing on songwriting and vocal harmonies Donegal alt-folk band In Their Thousands play diverse, harmony-led eclectic alternative rock.
Courtesy of top-notch musicianship and a rousing live delivery, the foursome – winner of 2012’s Guinness Arthurs Day Play on the Day – are guaranteed to thrill the Glasgowbury audience and win over a lot of new fans.

Tickets for this year’s 13th annual Glasgowbury festival are available in Letterkenny from the Greenroom Live, Main Street, and Universal Books, Church Lane. glasgowbury.com
