Donegal’s dreams dashed by Galway at Croke Park

Donegal’s dreams of reaching the All-Ireland Final were dashed by Galway in Croke Park today,

After a slow start, Donegal settled into the game and led by 0-5 to 0-4 after 19 minutes.

However, Galway then hit 1-1 with the fortuitous goal coming from Paul Conroy.

Donegal rallied late in the half with Michael Langan leading the way and they were level by the break.

Jim McGuinness’s men were competitive in the second half and were level by the 61st minute.

However, they failed to score for the remainder of the match and a Rob Finnerty free and a fine point from Liam Silke settled the tie in favour of Galway, who will now face Armagh in the All-Ireland Final.
