ST Johnston woman Maureen McLaughlin is through to the finals of the National Brown Bread Baking Competition.

Maureen is a member of the Irish Countrywomen’s Association Donegal Federation.

She is one of eight finalists in the competition which will be judged at the National Ploughing Championships in Ratheniska in County Laois from September 17 to 19.

The winner will receive €5,000 in cash and a NEFF Slide and Hide oven worth over €2,000 from sponsors Euronics.
