As Ballyshannon prepares to welcome home Olympic bronze medallist Mona McSharry, the weather for the evening is looking favourable for the celebrations.

As the festivities kick off at 6:00 PM, expect partly cloudy skies with a slight chance of rain.

Temperatures will be around 15 degrees with light winds from the west-southwest.

While it may feel a bit brisk, the atmosphere will be warm with excitement as the CCE Phil Rooney Branch begins their musical performance.

By 6.45 PM, as the victory parade is set to commence, the skies will remain partly cloudy with only a 5% chance of rain.

The weather should not dampen the spirits as Mona McSharry proudly displays her Olympic medal alongside her coach Grace Meade and the members of the Ballyshannon Marlins Swimming Club.

As the parade reaches the Market Yard Festival site around, conditions will remain stable with partly cloudy skies and a minimal chance of rain.

The temperature will begin to drop slightly to 14 degrees later in the evening.

The chance of rain remains low for the rest of the night and the skies will continue to be partly cloudy.
