AS the yellow rain warning comes to an end, Donegal can look forward to a slight reprieve from the wet conditions that have drenched the county
While the rain may ease up, don’t expect the skies to clear entirely just yet with scattered showers and cloudy spells.
This evening will see come light rain around 8pm, tapering off as the night progresses.
Temperatures will hover around a cool 16 degrees. Cloud cover will remain, but the rain will be minimal, with a 10-20% chance of light showers in the early hours of Wednesday.
After a relatively calm night, Wednesday morning brings a resurgence of rain.
The heaviest showers are likely to occur between 8am and 2pm, with temperatures staying between 13 and 16 degrees.
By late afternoon, the rain will lighten to showers, with only a 25% chance of rain around 16:00. However, keep that umbrella handy, as light rain may linger until evening.
Thursday will be a mixed day, with light rain in the morning giving way to partly cloudy skies by the afternoon.
The day begins cloudy with a 20-25% chance of rain, but by the afternoon, skies will start to clear, and rain chances will drop significantly. Temperatures will remain cool, with highs around 15 degrees.
As we head into the weekend, Donegal can finally expect some brighter weather. Friday morning will start off partly cloudy, but the day will gradually become sunnier, with rain chances dwindling by the afternoon. Temperatures will rise slightly, reaching a comfortable 16 degrees.
Saturday promises to be even better, with clear skies and sunshine dominating the forecast. Temperatures will reach a pleasant 20 degrees by mid-afternoon, perfect for any outdoor plans.
So while the week may start on a wet note, Donegal can look forward to a brighter and drier weekend.
