DONEGAL will have their first competitive outing of the new 2026 campaign when they host Derry in the opening round of the Dr McKenna Cup on Sunday, January 4.
The match will be played at O’Donnell Park in Letterkenny at 1.30pm.
It’s part of a busy weekend of fixtures with the competition starting on Friday night, January 2 with the meeting of Armagh and Tyrone at the Box-it Athletic Grounds.
Details of 2026 Bank of Ireland Dr McKenna Cup fixtures were confirmed this evening.
Donegal are in Section C along with Derry and Antrim.
Jim McGuinness will take his team to Cargin to play Antrim in their second game (a Round 3 fixture) on Sunday, January 11.
The Round One fixtures will be played on the opening weekend of January. Round Two games will be played on Wednesday, January 7 and the final Round 3 games will take place on Sunday, January 11.
Semi-finals will be played on Wednesday evening, January 14 with the final scheduled for Saturday, January 17.
