Donegal to benefit from over €16 million in investment in water infrastructure

DONEGAL will receive over €16 million for water infrastructure developments.

25 projects in Donegal will benefit from €16,115,229 to deliver essential water and waste water infrastructure, a Fine Gael Senator has said.

Senator Nikki Bradley announced that funding of €73.9m has been allocated for 291 projects across the county, under the Multi-annual Rural Water Programme 2024–2026

“Today’s announcement is great news for communities in Donegal. It’s so important that we protect our water sources and ensure the highest standards in water treatment.

“We must ensure that communities across Donegal have the benefit of high quality infrastructure and water services.

“This funding and the completion of these projects will allow Group Water Schemes to continue to improve the quality, quantity and reliability of the water services across Donegal.

“This funding to improve our water and waste water facilities will go a long way to supporting communities in Donegal”, concluded Senator Bradley.
