Dublin 1-15 Donegal 1-14
DONEGAL lost out by a point against Dublin in the NFL in Croke Park tonight.
Declan Bonner’s team made a great start and Ciaran Thompson scored an early free before Hugh McFadden netted a sixth minute goal.
The Dubs were off colour in the first quarter, and Donegal were able to open up a 1-5 to 0-3 lead.
However, the reigning All-Ireland champions finished the half strongly by scoring three unanswered points, and they trailed by two at the break.

Donegal kicked the first two points after the restart but Dublin then hit three on the trot.
The second half was nip-and-tuck and Dublin got back to within one before Patrick McBrearty saw a goal chance saved.
Colm Basquel then levelled matters in the 60th minute, before Dublin scored a goal in the 66th minute when Shaun Patton dropped Brian Howard’s shot and Paul Mannion finished to the net.
Murphy replied with a free, but David Byrne then cancelled that out.
Donegal didn’t give up and McFadden and McBrearty kicked points, before Michael Murphy and John Small were both sent off.
Bonner’s men had a chance to level at the death but Daire Ó Baoill over-cooked his pass to Neil McGee and the Dubs held on to win by a point.
