A prizewinning artwork by 7-year-old Donegal student Charles (Dominic) Gallagher, from St Mary’s National School, Castlefinn, Lifford has been chosen to illustrate the 2026 Texaco Children’s Art Competition Calendar just published.
One of 13 artworks selected, his piece entitled ‘Ulchabhán Oíche Ag Grianán Ailigh’, will appear during the month of October and will be seen in thousands of homes throughout Ireland during the coming year.
A Special Merit Award Winner in this year’s 71st competition, his artwork was commended by the adjudication panel as ‘demonstrating high levels of skill and creativity.’

Calendars are currently available through a select number of Texaco service stations nationwide.
