Donegal stroll past Louth in second half

Donegal 2-22 Louth 0-12

Donegal are safely into the All-Ireland quarter-finals after they over-powered Louth in the second half of today’s contest.

Donegal were 0-5 to 0-1 ahead after 16 minutes but Louth got back on level terms.

Conor O’Donnell rattled in a goal for Donegal after that but the in-form Ryan Burns had the final say of the first half.

HT: Donegal 1-6 Louth 0-7

Ciaran Thompson netted a second goal in the 50th minute and Donegal were able to rack up a good score while taking key men off to rest them.

Jim McGuinness’s team will play in the quarter-finals next weekend and will find out who they are playing tomorrow morning.
