WHAT happens when you send an well-known amateur drama actor on his stag do to Carrick-On-Shannon with a group of his fellow thespians? Normally, the unwritten rule is what happens on hen and stag do’s is not talked about. However, in this case a stag do was organised that Letterkenny man Kieran Kelly could be very proud to show off in a video which went online today.

Kieran married Olivia Wilson, also from Letterkenny last month at St Eunan’s Cathedral and wedding reception in the Silver Tassie Hotel. But before that he went on a Back To The Future-themed stag do to Carrick.

Organised by best man Iarla McGowan, the professional actor knew exactly what his best friend Kieran, a huge movie buff, would enjoy. A trip inspired by one of his favourite movie trilogies. The groomsmen PK, Brian and Cliffy and friends such as other well-known Donegal actors, including Patrick McBrearty and Eoghan Mac Giolla Bhride, all got into the spirit of it and dressed up as various characters as you can see in this great video.

The Back To The Future theme continued on Kieran and Olivia’s wedding day, when Kieran was first driven to the family local, Blake’s on Main Street, in a Delorean and then on to St Eunan’s Cathdral where the famous vehicle was parked up to give wedding guests a chance to take a snap that Marty McFly himself would be proud of.
